We’d like to introduce you to a tool being developed that makes it much easier to see what’s going on at City Hall. The city posts it’s Council Agenda a few days before their meetings, but the document is long, and difficult to read.
With https://minutes.city/#/city/austin you can instantly see which Agenda Items affect your neighborhood – all items that are specific to an address are shown on a clear map of Austin.
If you register, you can even define a custom area (whether that’s your neighborhood, your block, your district or the whole City) and receive an email alert any time an agenda item falls within your area. It’s never been easier to stay on top of what’s happening in your neighborhood!
We’d love to invite Austin’s Neighborhood Associations to join, and let us know your comments and feature requests. This tool is free, and open to the public – feel free to share with anyone who might be interested.
