Community Liaison (formerly Sunshine Lady)

The Executive Committee is comprised of the elected officers(not just one elected official), and is the
principal governing body of the Association as well as its policy-making body between meetings of the general membership.

The Membership Committee

Responsible for promoting and increasing
membership and welcoming new residents to the neighborhood.

The Development Review Committee

Meet with developers or their representatives concerning development projects, and after investigation prepare
reports for the general body, which ultimately may be presented to the City Planning Commission, the City Council, or other appropriate city agencies.

Adopt a Park – Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt Committee

responsible for communication to City of Austin Parks & Recreation (PARD), Austin Parks
Foundation, and other partner organizations, as part of ongoing stewardship of
the parks. This committee will also organize annual cleanup events.

Ad Hoc Committees

They shall normally investigate specific
interests, report on these to the membership, and implement Association actions
pertaining thereto.

In Texas, neighborhood associations are generally governed by the Texas Property Code Chapter 209 (Residential Property Owners Protection Act) and Chapter 204, while their corporate structure is governed by the Texas Business Organizations Code (BOC) Chapter 22 (Nonprofit Corporations).
