Memorial for Bill Stout

A Celebration of Life for Bill Stout will be held Sunday, June 8th starting at 10 am. Bill was an advocate for keeping Austin green and was known in the PSSNA as someone who cared about the amount of green spaces being lost to development.

Please join family and friends for an outdoor celebration for Bill under the Live Oak trees in the Travis Landing neighborhood park at Lake Travis where Bill lived on and off since 1999.

Breakfast tacos and refreshments will be served.

There will be seating but if you have a spare camp chair or that may be more comfortable than a folding chair, please bring it. It is an outdoor event in our neighborhood park but there will be a tent for sun shade. Also, the only bathroom facilities are a porta potty in case that is problematic for anyone.

Please feel free to share this email and forward to anyone who might like to attend – All are welcome.

Location Address: Travis Landing Neighborhood Park 6000 Longhorn Landing Austin, TX 78734

There is a locked gate at the Park Entrance and there will be a person stationed there to allow entry.

Next meeting: May 10

Your voice matters! That’s why it is so important for you to attend the May 10 meeting – Help the City of Austin Transportation & Public Works Department understand how you get around, what works, and what doesn’t in Pecan Springs-Springdale Hills, Windsor Park, and University Hills. Your feedback will help shape the plan’s focus areas for interventions that will be evaluated in the next phase of engagement. Visit this link to review the current plan and have your questions prepared in advance.

Please join us Saturday morning, May 10. Pecan Springs-Springdale Hills Neighborhood Association is having a combined meeting with the Windsor Park Neighborhood Association in order for both neighborhoods to learn about and give input to the Central-Northeast Austin Transportation Plan for our combined area. We will meet at Memorial United Methodist Church, at 6100 Berkman Dr, from 10:15am-noon in the gym. It’s very important that you attend this meeting so we can get your input!

Remember our April assignment: Every neighbor, bring a neighbor!

Follow up Recap: PSSNA April 2025 meeting

Greetings, Pecan Springs/Springdale Hills neighbors!! Thanks to all in attendance for our April 2025 neighborhood meeting. We had a great turnout and we were so lucky to enjoy delicious homemade Mexican pastries from neighbor Elyse! For those of you that were not able to attend April’s meeting, please mark your calendar for our May 10, 2025 meeting.

We had a guest speaker from the City of Austin pictured above, Lee Austin, from the transportation and public works department. There was a very engaging discussion and we all learned a lot about the projects already planned, as well as other options which we could request, and other ways to get involved.

Review our meeting minutes for all of the details. See you next month!

It’s My Park Day SPRING 2025!

Meet at the E. 51 entrance to the greenbelt, across from the entrance to Senate Hills, at 9am sharp. You may park in Senate Hills Neighborhood. Bring a reusable water bottle and wear appropriate clothing. We will have some gloves and equipment for use. Hope to see you all there.
